That only applies to remigton actions :D Puffin is using a Barnard. If the bolt from that comes flying back he has put in enough powder to create a small nuclear reaction !

It's extortion: you drive a Hilux & pay higher RUC or drive a Surf & pay less... same vehicle, different body style.... same wear & tare on the road.... still pisses me off:pissed off::pissed off:

Funny this would come up as I just crunched the numbers this morning. I was looking at a petrol powered patrol to replace my diesel one. Comparing rego, RUC and enough gas for 30,000 km annually,...

I have a expeed lightning 50l with roll top and love it for a day pack to extended trips. Had it well over weight a bunch of times and its still going great. Had to bend the aluminium pole back...

Managed to get enough money together with my savings (for a GA Precision Crusader) to purchase an action, stock, trigger, dies and brass to start my dream build. I have a barrel and wyatt's centre...

chainsaw I have the magnetic ones for my hg 10-43's and work great. Don't open when I have fallen. But on the hdb's would be a little tight so use the zipper model for them to be sure.

chainsaw liked post by Shearer On thread : Spotting scope or camera?
I don't think people are suggesting you will get better results with a zoom camera, just that you can use one instead of carting around a huge spotter in your pack. And the cost is a lot less.

chainsaw liked post by Shearer On thread : Spotting scope or camera?
For me it is simply a matter of portability. I have a camera I take hunting to take photos with and it can double as a spotter (long range magnifier) if need be. It is not ideal in this role but then...

If you want to keep the same bolt face and get better performance have a look at 284 or 280ai. Twist rate of your existing barrel could be a limiting option as well.

chainsaw liked post by Tahr On thread : Can you convert a t3 308 to 284?
My experience is that the standard 6.5 chamberings can be slow killers at or over 400 yards. With a short barrel, more so. If I was often shooting 300 - 600 yds I would want something with a bit more...
