    John Herbert, NZ Repeating Arms, sells Criterion P14 barrels, they match the original profile. When I bought one they were $480 ish.

    Greetings Rusky, Some of the scope mounts used on .303 rifles can be pretty dodgy. If the rifle has iron sights it could be worth taking the scope off and testing with those and some modern ammo....

    if you tin each surface before you start you wont have that issue. Then after they are cold enough to work, clamp them together and reheat until they are stuck. need good matching surfaces obviously....
