csmiffy liked post by gadgetman On thread : Snorkels (For trucks, not diving)
It was reassuring driving along a river after buying a snorkel for my new wagon. With the water lapping the inter-cooler bonnet scoop I thought it was a great purchase. I would have been more...

csmiffy liked post by planenutz On thread : new Science investigations about Moa diet and their influence on the NZ Forests
Rocket science it certainly is not. A friend who is a vet spent many months during her university years studying the possible effects of Moa in the NZ bush, specifically around Fiordland. Back in...

Tikka and Sako are branches of the same company and share manufacturing facilities, a bit like Chevrolet and GMC. It doesn't much matter which brand sells best as it all goes into the same pockets...

I got lucky thanks to a forum member putting someone in touch with me with another classic single shot wreck that is worth rescuing. Its the baby sister for my Stevens 44 1/2 A Stevens 044 1/2 (...

I haven't checked but I think its relative obscurity as a cartridge would make factory ammo scarce and expensive

Do you have a compressor, I have just done a cylinder head on my mates land Cruiser, I have an adapter that fits in most glow plugs and a few for spark plugs you can borrow. You simply put compressed...

csmiffy liked post by Moa Hunter On thread : .22 with subs, how short and what suppressor?
Not a silly suggestion, but the fore end is short and doing that would change the balance point. What I have just done is to take the PN 12 pipe off and heat slipped a 150mm long piece of PN 10 Red...

while not denying the benelli is a great gun i would suggest you try a Fabarm as well, they shoot great and 1/2 the cost. handles 1 oz load up to magnums with ease and very soft on the shoulder.
