   mmm pity you are so far away. I think I have small ring mauser (husky 1600 thread?) out in the shed. Sneaky suspicion its 243 and cant comment on condition. Could've had that for a couple of beers....

    For straight out close range bush stuff my Rossi 357 carbine would be my go to. If it was for big animals and the potential to go a little further out I reckon my lee speed 303 clone will be my pick...
