The Hornady 62gr SP's with 25.5gr 2206H shoot .44 of an inch at 100 meters in my Tikka 1.8 twist. I duplicated the seating depth of the factory Hornady whitetail ammo because they are the same...

Last evening. 2@175 yds. 80 grn Targex. First one neck, second one lung. If you zoom in the first pic you can see them about 20 yds apart after I had shot them. 232063 232064

Greetings, I assume that the .270 is a bolt action so what about one of those neat little Bergara single shots in .308. Even new they are around the cost of a rebarrel plus they break down and go in...

Greetings again Blackfern, Makros has made some very good points echoed by Puffin. One three shot group tells you little if anything about the accuracy of a particular so I prefer to test loads for...

I think all of those loads probably shoot just as well as each other. One thing I have learnt from reloading is people are very willing to chase the statistical noise endlessly and a lot of advice...

Yep if hunting just use the 41.5gr load, the deer aren't going to noticed a slight tweek here and there job done. If shooting compitition then you could play around a bit however most shooters...

Dama dama liked post by grandpamac On thread : Reload 308 using magnum LRP 2208 powder vs standard LRP 2206H
Greetings, AR2208 is easy to ignite, especially with LRP in a .308 case. Magnum primers give no advantage and possibly less than that. My go to powder in the .308 is AR2206H and has been for some...

I agree that they shouldn't be left by the track, but as far as shooting animals and not taking any meat off them I really couldn't care less. When you see the state of some of our forest parks...

    1. If it were doc/contract hunters, they wouldn’t shoot from track 2. If it were doc/contract hunters, they would move carcasses that are close to tracks 3. Due to numbers of animals these days...

Decide on barrel length by what you do, not by what others do. For shots sometimes over 200 yds using heavy bullets 20-22 inches is good for me. If lead in the air with bulk 55 grn shooting...
