Plenty of expensive options with fancy bullets viper but I don't think you'll gain much... Cool rifle by the way. A 788 in 243 is on my list to own one day.

Federal blue box is great, usually pretty accurate in my experience in all calibers and certainly good in 308, pretty excellent value. Federal Fusion is great too as is the cheapest factory ammo...

As far as Otago and Southland goes, most of the public land outside of the National Parks you are allowed dogs. You can't have dogs in Leithen Bush due to the proximity of farmland. No sure about...
