   42grn winchester power points work very well in my norincos....the diference in killing power surprised me. Ive shot litterally hundreds of goats with .22lr it was the old winchester superspeed...

   One thing to remember is that Standard Velocity will go straight through a goat’s head and out the other side. Always pays to make sure you’ve got a good backstop that isn’t another goat.

    if the noise thing is the biggest issue...TRY some lesser loads,something with less powder will be quieter...a case full of trail boss will go bang but not boom.even diferent factory loading sound...
