I've read heaps about Kimbers on various forums and people are very divided over them. One thing I have noticed is that there are not many people with a Kimber under .308 saying they don't shoot....

Inside 400yds or so the 130gn SST, out of a 6.5x55 will do just fine. Big reds are not hard to kill clean if you get the shot right to start with.

Need to work out what you want to achieve as the 308 can be stoked up pretty good as it is. Spend a lot of money otherwise on something that only gets you 150fps extra.
