2209 is the powder to use in a .30/06. I have used it in four .30/06's and all will shoot very well with it. 150's at 2990 fps and 180's at 2750fps, and 220 grainers at 2400fps with max loads. ...

56.5gr 2209 with a 165gr projectile is one of those loads that just works. Not the fastest load but accurate.

Howdy I tend to use 2209 in mine with 168/208 amaxes I did load up some 110 vmaxes with 2208 for giggles,they were doing about 3300 fps but it was a bit lively...
