I should have mentioned too, before my mates 20” rem mag he had an 18” 7mmsaum. That ran the 168VLD at 2850fps. I’ve always though a 7mm WSM would be cool too, it just seems to be very uncommon...

A die will only give you longitudinal scoring, not circumferential. DEF suspect it's chamber machining marks.

I had one in 7 rem mag and it was nice. Load development was super easy. Whereas a mates 7 rem in howa was very fussy. I preferred the bergara stock.
