chrony was only about a metre from the muzzle due to the topography I'm surprised at that distance the muzzle blast didn't disturb the chronograph, even with a medium capacity round. And muzzle...

dannyb liked post by Cigar On thread : What to make of weird chrony data?
I have had issues with the chrony being too close to the muzzle and the blast causing the chrony to shake and turn on the tripod, meaning lower readings as the bullet has a bit further to travel...

I'd be a bit dubious about your first three rounds, seems a little bit too consistent, could be the crono only registered the fist round... Just a thought. There's some serious spread in the last...

Looking at the replies, I should have mentioned another couple of things up front. I have a self-imposed limit of 300y because the 243 shoots pretty flat to there and I'm concerned about...

A friend with a 6.5-06 worked up to the old ADI book max of AR2213 (a little faster than AR2213SC) powder with the 140 grain projectile. Absolutely no pressure signs at all but not one case would...

Greetings All, My chronograph is an Oehler 35P that was bought in 1991. It was expensive but I won't need another one. I run a 4 foot screen spacing wihch gives consistent results and the three...

dannyb liked post by stug On thread : Twin Loads - Bush and LR
Use a different projectile, that way you won’t get them confused. I’ve done this with a couple of rifles. Zero for the long range load then see where the bush load hits. So long as it is within an...

In my experience, once you start seeing erratic velocities you are passed having stableoafs and likely over pressure for that particular load combination in that rifle. Back it off.

Reshoot the 41.4 and 41.6 before you do anything such consistent velocities indicate a node.

I followed the same route that you are on now about 3 years ago. I wasted a lot of components, created a lot of frustration and still could not get definitive answers from what exactly was happening...

Hey. I get you're new to this and are probably looking for a bit of reassurance and guidance, but asking people to give you a loads to try out like this is pretty poor form. People are often quite...
