   How you load it makes a difference too. I usually put meat at the bottom of my pack so any blood doesn’t drip through the rest of the pack. My last trip I put the meat on the top, was much nicer....

   If you want short bbl bush pig, then 308. If you want to reach out longer range then 3006 and don't chop the bbl.

    Here's you answer right here, but if your going to shoot heavy for caliber bullets (180Gr and heaver) the 3006 will have a slight edge over the 308 even with a short barrel.
