I'm going to assume your only referring to NZ, so I would go for a 284 or 280 pushing a 162 eldm.

Id keep it somewhat simple with 7mm SAUM at 18" (or more). I wouldn't bother going shorter then that, there's just no need as 18" is plenty short enough. Even my 20" SAUM is a very short handy rifle...
