Should be treated as assets and managed as such. I would hazard a guess more is spent in this country on hunting than bird watching.

Wont do you much good as googling possum numbers used to give the same number quoted 30 odd years ago so either 1080 doesn't control possums or they cant count.

Just to give the North Island guys a bit of perspective, we dont do little wee blocks of bush like they do up north as that is not how you exterminate species and that is the goal here in the top of...

Thanks guys for all your kind comments. It was an epic trip that won't be forgotten, and really makes you appreciate a true hunter of old like Allan Harrison. There was something almost spiritual in...

Thanks BRADS I just hate closed companies, I have worked in a few. They had bloody excellent employees but the top management never engaged or told you what was happening. The controversy over 1080...

Oh yes there is. The birds in NZ evolved to fill roles mammals did elsewhere, and the plant life evolved to counter them. We have a number of plants that grow to counter the damage...

Ok so Fallow being grass dwellers may get hit harder, as for reds in the haurangi we came across or know of up to 10 dead from repellent bait as opposed to the drop earlier where they did some with...

Humans too including the troll type are pests. We have done FAR more damage than any other introduced pests. You could say the same about our farming habits. Even our favorite recreation of shooting...

Well no. New Zealand native bush is evolved to be browsed. Removal of those browsers by hunting to extinction severely altered the understory. This void is well filled by deer in moderate numbers...

Cullers didn't go to much trouble in the washing department and most did well. If you have the wind in the wrong direction don't think the flash wash up will save the day.

Man you guys go to some trouble, usual shower in the morning before work. After work chuck my hunting gear on and just go hunting. The only thing i normally worry about is hunting into the wind.
