scotty Happy Jack read the first post. At the bottom it lists what needs to be registered and states what a major arms item is. But no a suppressor does not need to be registered.

That is why I insist on having the suppressor when I cut thread. I find the threads, whilst a nominal 1/2 20 or whatever range from ver tight to very slack, particularly when people use old well worn...

1/2" 28 TPI or 1/2" 20 TPI either is okay, thread root diameter for 1/2" 28 should be slightly bigger leaving more meat between the bore and the thread root. DPT will tell you anyway.
