Going up the drive today - must have been ten pheasants took off - mother hen stayed with her two chicks - unfortunately a fence wire in the pic We got wiped out last season - cat or stoat killed...

Mate I could never do that. How can you give up a well trained dog in it's twilight years? Surely you could give it a nice retirement. Good looking dog too.

Might do another couple of these soon, just bagged up some venison and the wife complained about the roast so will do that and another veni roast in the freezer.
