Even 30 metres is a long range for most air rifles unless you’re getting a reputable (expensive) brand.

The fixed power 2.75 power scope I used to use on my Finnwolf (unsuppressed) showed the end of the barrel, was never an issue.

My recollection is that it was a varnished wooden stocked bolt-action .22. Maybe having a thumbhole stock might not have conformed with RetardMe ‘policy’?
