I sprayed a rifle with black Duracoat a week ago, using their supplied aerosol sprayer. Spent a good deal of time cleaning the barrel and action, prepping it exactly as per instructions, using...

Fisherman liked post by 6x47 On thread : Tikka T3X stock weight
As far as std "synthetic" stocks go, the T3/T3X stocks are pretty rigid and have far less forend flex than most. About three planets ahead of a Rem SPS (shitty plastic stock).

Its not always about weight, the biggest advantage i found with carbon stocks is they shoot the same point of impact off any rest bipod loaded or unloaded, shooting off a rock or a pack it doesn't...

Here's my Savage Light Weight that Ive just re-barreled wiht a Trueflight (.223). Couldn't be happier. Lock nut gone which makes it "look" better I think. But be warned that by the time you have...

Probably 30%-40% of my sitting shots are off my trekking poles. I just loop the leash over the opposite pole and vice versa. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51820184912_0045189b41_c.jpg

Fisherman liked post by JohnDuxbury On thread : Wood vs Synthetic Stock - Felt Recoil
Long answer: Assuming the stock shape tis the same and the OAL weight is the same, there is no difference. For felt recoil, itis the weight of the rifle that matters, and where that weight is, muzzle...
