Well I for one don't see an issue with leaving a firearm in your car as long as the vehicle is registered , because apparently registration is a magical anti theft barrier (sarc)

I make ones for fishing knives out of old plastic drain pipe. All that is required is a heat gun.....they click into place like the kydex ones and I add a thumb ramp for ease of removal 159234

All of ours do but never really found it a problem . You can get aftermarket triggers with a lighter pull and extra spring to remove the flop but haven't really found the need . Did look at getting...
