    I'd also look at LED strip lighting. A lot more rugged than flouro and more energy efficient. Can easily hook up a cheap $3 controller to vary output too.

    Ummmm. The 406MHz is the satellite communication frequency and the 121.5MHz is the terrestrial homing signal and you do want both. Talking to the guys in the rescue choppers they like that homing...
