Pre 1967 Brno model 2. I look out for these and if the stock is not very good restock in fancy walnut , remove sights, reblue, modify Ruger rings to fit. Beautiful.

I love nicely grained walnut. Go into a gunshop and see what the really nice guns stocks are made from. Some of the Turkish walnut is beautiful.

Yeah,just use paint stripper and stainless steel wool and toothbrush to clean out checkering. Then, use Scherells oil dark walnut to finish. This makes a beautiful satin finish.
