.357 will do out to 100 ok. Other option if you aren't shooting many goats is to buy some .308 ammo from Belmont. Some stuff is around $2 per round, perhaps cheaper if you buy in bulk. By the time...

Mate uses 357 mag for wallabies and deer, but 200yds is a ways out. stick to 100m. FMJ all good for animals out to 200yds, aim for bone if you can, head shots better

I use my 22-250 with sierra 55gr on 🐐 🐐 if I'm not carrying the .308 off to hopefully try it on some hoppers this afternoon.

Poked pretty much any 7.62x39mm round through chest or better still shoulders and no goat is going anywhere. If you find the Hornady training ammo in fifty pack it's loaded with a set type...

yes as NZ 32 says they to tend to go straight thru - so a behind the shoulder shot into lungs is one I use all the time with my 222 the 7.62 x39 will go straight thru as the military round is not a...

quite some difference between 7.62x39 and 357 I would go with the 7.62x39 for goats and even deer close range - the 357 would certainly drop a deer but close up no real effective range at all - the...

I wouldn't use surplus FMJ's on goats, they work but tend just to go straight through without expanding. Therefor can take a while for the goats to die. Best thing for goats if you have lots to...

Bugga not a cool experience, I wouldn't write the gun off, a new extractor and spring will probably fix it along with checking head space and barrel fit, try not to use oil on 10/22 actions as it...

OK - A little more information - ejection issues at 9 months - and a new gun - i would be piling on the pressure, very politely (with menaces - haha). From a PR point of view they would be well...

polite discussion with Hunting and Fishing - less than 2 years old, (I presume you bought it new) they will have a record of it, well - heck they better have a full record of the sale. They may have...

I think you're right. Something prevented/is preventing the extractor from retracting and it hit the rim and set the round off. Bit of debris stuck between the action and the extractor? Either way...
