   Pretty well covered by ebf. What I also do is remove the firing pin/spring mechanism from the bolt - not sure whether the Savage lends itself to this. You can then try your brass for bolt closing...

   I use AR2217 with a Berger 210gr Hunting VLD in Norma Brass 26" Barrel. AR2225 is also a very good powder but I got slightly better velocity and accuracy from AR2217.

    I use ADI 2217 powder with 215hybrids as well as the 208 amax. AR2213SC may be a bit quick and R22 will get you better velocity but isn't very temp stable. I would use the 215hybrid over the 210VLD...
