A GT will easily do 3,000fps with a 105gr class projectile, loaded at normal length. But at 2.4” COAL, the boat tail will be well below at case neck shoulder junction, so a 95gr might be easier to...

I doubt it. When seating the primer into the pocket, it requires a small amount of crush as the edges of the cup bottoms out on the base of the pocket and pushes the anvil up into the primer paste to...

I think this is the most significant aspect of breaking-in a barrel, in that it’s actually the chamber / bore transition that needs the attention. I’ll use abrasives on a patch and short-stroke this...

Shehane isn’t AI ‘improved’. Just has less body taper compared to standard 284W and increases powder capacity by about 3grains or so. 7-6.5PRC has similar capacity, but just does the same job easier.

7-6.5PRC is becoming very popular in F-Class circles….2950fps with 180 Hybrids comfortably with 30” barrel and without needing to push it hard. Achieves 284 Shehane performance without trashing brass.

You generally get 0.5 thousandths of spring back when firing. So your chamber will be 0.2975 - 0.298 at the most.
