Greetings All, On the subject of recoil I remembered a test done, years ago, to debunk the stories of deer being knocked flat by powerful modern rifles. The test was done using a wooden deer (a box...

Greetings All, Too answer the 2 gun question. For me the first choice is easy .223 rem. Age and a certain level of decrepitude has resulted in hunting, for me, to be limited to the flatter stuff and...

Greetings Charliehorse, Probably nothing at all. In a series of groups some will be smaller than the others and some larger. The first group is three shots and these are often about one third...

Greetings All, Recent receipt of a bit of unexpected money had dislodged me from my normal state of terminal procrastination. This morning found me at what I call Chateau Jeremy's and others call...

But you could call the .30-284 a 7.5 x 55 Schmidt - Rubin, a cartridge fro 1889 that it closely resembles. I'm sure there would be some Brownie points in that. Imagine the conversation. What have you...

Refurbished a reloading tool for a calibre you don't own! You are truly a far gone handloader. Something for we lesser mortals to aspire to. Respectively Yours, Grandpamac.

Greetings Moa Hunter, Thanks for your kind words. I suspect that other considerations will come well ahead of recoil in your choice but the 6.5-.284 Lapua loaded down will have a little more recoil...
