hell yes...125grn NBT or the 130grn hp speer both work awesomely ......we used them in the 7.62x39mm to good effect.

Ive shot a lot of big bodied reds out of my 15"708 doing 2580 fps with the 140bt. Ive got 120gns as well to load. The bottom line is I certainly wouldnt stand in front of either ! Dont overthink it.

You are all looking at the problem wrong. There is nothing wrong with the gun, the problem is the target paper - you have it facing the wrong way! Rotate the paper 90deg on its vertical axis so...

As it's a .17, you won't get a borescope up it, well at least any I've ever seen. Rabbits at 50 are definitely safe :)
