Nice write up, venison Jerky always goes well, couple of vacuum packed parcels in your pack on your next hunt will taste extra good

When I renew my permit I tick the box for every area in NZ. I read the rules for all areas and print out the three-four pages of permit.

I use my cellphone + NZ Topo50 app for all my navigation now. You do not need cellphone reception to establish you position or track. My phone is in Flight Mode to save battery life most of the time.
