I've been interested in rifles and shooting since my teenage years (now 40). Mostly into long range target or rabbit shooting using a laser range finder and dialable scope.

    The permit to import a scope ended July 2020, so there's no longer a need for any permit to bring in a scope. If it's under NZ$1000 you won't pay GST or import duty, but if over NZ$1000 you will.
