Yes totally hard. To be fair this summer in Canterbury has been very unusual. Wet, windy, cold, hot ... any three in one day usually. So I wouldn't want to read too much into this one being fully...

As much of a fan as I am of the 270, they are a step up in recoil from the 308/7-08, probably not what I'd recommend as a first centre fire rifle for a new shooter.

Hamish, the hind and yearling were at the bottom of that face in the leatherwood on what I call the Island. So you will understand why I didn't want to go down there and back up with a load on. :)

The one I found was only about 20 minutes down stream from the bottom of the puffer, had bunks and a concrete fireplace/grill outside the hut, very well put together.

Toyota Highlander. Had one as a hire vehicle and they go pretty well and comfy. Would have enough grunt to tow the boat too.

Nice job mate weather on saturday was a perlur I took the Gf and her farther up that way on saturday too, i dont think his walks around the city will be the same since
