I wouldn't get too bothered on whether the action type you should have is "push feed" or "controlled round feed". Either is fine in rifle calibres for NZ deer. There are rifle makes available with...

The current Kuiu sale has 30-40% off packs. Makes them very affordable. I have one already but just grabbed a bigger bag for $260 nz. Tough to beat !! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Awesome decision. But the point I’d make if I saw this thread earlier, is by the time I was 50 I’d owned or used most calibres. It’s fun playing around with different rifles and blaming calibre...

7rm, good choice. At least you can find ammo everywhere. The great thing about the arrival of 7prc, is that there might be plenty of good 7rm for sell around :-)

With the 75+10 bag on it, you're already up to 4.2kg which is 1kg heavier than the standard 90+10 pack.

For the money you might as well just buy a purpose built hunting pack like a Mystery ranch, Kuiu, Exo, Stone glacier etc... you'll never look at a Tatonka again.

I’ve had them all… of the ones currently being discussed still have 300win, 7 rem, 6.5prc and 7prc. 7prc ticks a heap of Boxs
