   Yes at a pinch it will work, but a 16" 308 isn't the best tool for the job for 500m shooting, 500m is a loooong way for hunting. On paper it will work energy wise, but wind will be the real kicker...

    Seem to recall I ran 49gn 2209 behind a 140gn prohunter in my viscount... can't lay my hands on my 7x57 data so don't quote me! I do recall it hated all BT projectiles, FB shot well.

    Warranty claim. I had a vaude one that did that, apparently bad batch of fabric that coating was applied correctly to. Made for an uncomfortable week in the hills.

    Been flip-flopping about a 284win win build but my 20" 7mm08 tikka does 2630fps with 162gr ELD-M without leaning on it too hard. Doesn't seem like much gain for the hassle.
