To answer your question, a 6.5 barrel is a 6.5 barrel no matter what. It is what you chamber it to, eg 6.5x55 ,6.5-06 etc that makes it into what 6.5 caliber you want you want. So Buy a 6.5...

Some A bolts are getting back a bit now, if it's been well used I'd look at the barrel, being a 243 barrel life is a little more finite than say your average 308.
