269824 Go to for shorter day hunts. Missing is ammo and head torch, usually tie a soft outer waterproof layer around my waist, can stuff a thermal top, a couple of muesli bars etc in if need be...

More like 2 hours but plenty around the Ashburton Lakes, feel free to pm for spot x. Would have to do your own research on small game permits as have only seen them chasing bigger critters

I tend to stick to 3s in the big rivers (usually hunt the Rakaia) as the shootings mostly a bit longer, sometimes 4s right on first/last light. I'll always have a handful of 2s handy on the off...
