Agree with you on FOV although I made the mistake of looking through The Swaro NL Pures and now run the 10x32ds which have more FOV and better glass by a significant margin than my 10x42 geovids...

I have a pair of Leica Geovid 10x42r, i find them great. Really good glass, no ballistics onboard but i only use them for rangefinding, then use hornady 4dof for the calculation.
