    Compressing powder is not dangerous. For some loads I load .223 with 2208 right to the top of the case and then compress it. I have done it with .30/06 and 9.3x62 as well. But I still measure it so...

    I think that is actually the cap compound. No anvils nothing. I bet that would be the weak part of the process, the primers misfiring. (I am just guessing though, maybe they all work fine.) 100...

    I use them in the .30/06 (and .308 too) and they go fine for me, this is at 2700 fps. Yep you dont want too hard a bullet

    I use 62 grains of 2209 and get 2980fps from a 22 inch barrel, for one inch groups with a 150 grain interlock. Been using it for years.
