Whether you are better off sticking to full length sizing or neck sizing to save your brass... it will depend on how baggy the chamber is rather than what year the rifle was made or its general...

I think they will be ok. They shed velocity quite quickly. In the 80's I used them in a 22.250 on deer quite a bit and they worked just fine.
