   ive still got my first center fire a sporter m96 ive had mine rebarreled so people do do it yours is a nice looking rifle so i would rebarrel it if you like it

   It all depends on your budget. The 6.5x55 is a great calibre, you've got all the nice goodies that goes with it. Replace the barrel would be my suggestion. Would it be worth changing the barrel?...
