I purchased a new Sako S20 recently and it is shooting the factory load Sako Blade 120gn @ sub 1/4 MOA. Mainly controlling some pigs at the moment so no deer results yet but 8 shoulder shot boars...

I'm using 120gr BT's, they are very accurate and kill well with plenty of penetration. Have taken goats, chamois, fallow & red deer so far, all under 300m & no probs.

If you get a .243 you might shoot your life and never come across any limitations - after years worth of it killing red deer, and others doing the same with a .223, I am still amazed at people who...

.243 all day, smokes .308 ballistically with way less recoil, still kills everything great, go one of the new generation of 1:8 twist rifles and shoot 105-108gr bullets, great stuff Unless you...

Be silly to buy anything other than a 6.5CM in a factory rifle for general purpose hunting these days 140-147gr 6.5mm bullets of the right construction at 2600-2700 fps kill things extremely well...

my thoughts are that under 300m it literally doesn't matter. past 300m I prefer 6.5 as I like the ballistics more, but if I spent time with .308 I'm sure I'd get used to it and be fine. I also have...

Interestingly theres little to nothing in it. I think alot of people that hate on the creedmoor dont actually have any understanding of what it is or what its capable of. 6.5 Creedmoor with...

I reckon the 6.5 caliber is the ideal choice for NZ hunting conditions with the possible exception of Wapiti in Fiordland or longer rage shooting in the Southern alps. I shot the 6.5x55 for many...
