    Good shooting to get the 2nd shot in. Thats an advantage of the .223 - being able to stay on target to get a second shot in if needed while they do the .223 lung shot stagger.

    18 to 20" seems optimal. My Tikka is still standard and it doesn't bother me. Other 2 are 20".
