The velocity loss is of little concern to me for a bush hunting rifle. I've shot plenty of animals with .22wmr, .22hornets, .222 and .223. Cutting a .223 barrel down will reduce the velocity down...

Sent two them back, both 100% my fault, dropped rifle in falls...both broke in half (big falls)...both fixed by Leopold! One cost $180nz the other they did for free! Not bad considering it was...

Yup, I wasn't exactly tactical in my shooting decisions...lost another -10 points on the non contact (trying to be pc) target too... then dug in my heels and didn't want to score points on the big...
