The best time to range things is when there is the least amount of sunlight :) Not to mention fog or rain either :(

I know of a mates brand new 7Rm 85 with new NF, rings rail etc that wouldn't shoot the 162s or 168s or 180s, it went back complete after some negotiation & was replaced, it took a while though...he...

Something also worth considering is Hornady recommend 1-8 twist for their 162 Amax, which seems to be a fairly fast twist rate considering the Berger 168 is 1-10 & 180 is 1-9 ? ...

FWIW I've been extremely happy with the many TF UM .338 barrels I've had to date :)

If you want to use 178-208 to shoot animals/targets at a decent range with a 308 you can't with a 13 twist a 10-11 is a much better choice for the 30 cal.

I don't know Cam, I haven't looked into too much yet, being a shortish barrel I'm not sure. He wanted 24" & I wanted 26" he must have had a good think about it & decided 25" :)
