Personally Id prefer parallax, I have a 2.5-10 scope with parallax adjustment and use it all the time.

My favorite rings are the Nightforce Ultra Lite ones. Both NF ultralite and Hawkins tactical rings come in a .885" height. Vortex PMR/Seekins rings (they are the same) come in a .92" height.
