    Pre-made ones are available from the likes of rifle ranch targets. 8 mm thick is fine with ar 450 or 500 having it hang at a slight angle significantly reduces damage to the surface.

    With cast bullets I really believe that you can forget about "seating x off the lands" just seat to cartridge oal. It makes no difference long or short as far as I have been able to determine,
