    Brining and then soaking in milk do work really well to both change the texture and stop it drying out. An hour in brine 1 tablespoon salt per litre then an hour in milk full fat not trim then cook....

    A red dot is good imo far better then a laser. The 22 has a pretty cricket ball trajectory so as you often get targets at different ranges needing hold over a lazer is not much use. Great on treed...

    I had one that i generously freefloated with a rasp, bedded the action and epoxied a fibreglass fence standard into a groove cut in the stock. She is solid now.
