I borrowed a harris clone and used it briefly, horrible thing, altered the weight and handling of the rifle, and got caught up in scrub but for fixed position shooting it was great. So I made my own...

Dont think so, its the Greenhill formula worked out by the royal artillery back in the 1850s. Works for solid lead and copper jacketed lead bullets only. Weight doesn't feature either Its still used...

Not as good a bush gun as yours being 1.35 metres long, but with a 82 cm barrel you do get a nice long sight base. The rear sight is ramped up to 2000 yards. I suspect that even at that range if you...

That snider with the spit on the end seems an excellent solution to the diverse genetics of your "wapiti" it kills, cooks, and kebabs all at the same time.

Ppu and seller, winchester, hornady are all good brass, federal is rubbish and not worth buggering about with.

Thats because a hollow base helps stableise a long unspun projectile by creating turbulence at the base that prevents it tumbling. The accuracy achieved is suprisingly good with projectiles up to 2.5...

In my opinion its borderline OCD you spend more time shooting tests, re tests and validation than you do anything else. By the time you are satisfied the barrels shot out and you have to start again....

Thats like asking if there are degrees of dead, ie mostly dead, partly dead, doubly dead. Dead is dead. Its also an interesting follow up question after asking for a private place to shoot.
