I too used to think the 270 a waste of time, my first cf was a sako forester in 270, came with a couple of hundred cac nzfs ammo. Accurate but killing seemed erratic, skin pops or no expansion, sold...

Waterblast to get all remaining stuff off, allow to dry then paint with hydrogen peroxide and allow to dry. You can use bleach but that sometimes leaves a yellow tinge

Expect a different poi without it on. Also look to see if the barrel is touching the stock, the rubber hogues can be bastards for this.

Nope one of my least favourite smells. Last couple of pigs I've used the Mrs's horse clippers to get 99% off then the gas torch to burn off the stubble works a treat.
