    If that don't work do you have any unfired cases, try one of those, if it fits fire form it to the chamber then use your calipers to compare the two.

    I got caught with doing 3 shot groups with a rifle that was shooting erratically. Initally blamed the scope, so changed it and re zeroed. Thought the 2nd shot must have been bad cos 1&3 were spot on....

    Try and avoid boat tail bullets if you can, even buggered barrels will shoot flat base ok, but keyhole the other type

    Interesting choice of scope if you are wanting to keep weight down. Honestly cast iron rings and a uranium rail would make bugger all difference now. I could cheekily suggest a couple of helium...
