    For me I'd Skip the fluting, the stock looks to be an improvement with the riser, as does the bigger bolt knob. However my old one just works fine

    Don't think you'll do any better with a sub 223 and jacketed projectiles which won't expand on impact compared to a soft lump of lead with a hollow point. Practice with the 22 will I think be better.

    Don't forget most people will shoot as well with a $300 lanber, but when you miss with a Beretta dt 11 it looks more stylish.

    Currently I have a 4k thermal sitting on an $800 rifle. It's a learning curve but I'm getting there. Does that count.
