I chose not to go illuminated on mine and am happy without it so far. I have a nightforce with illumination that I use for foxes at night in the UK but don't think I'd use it for general hunting...

Same as the alarm mines that I have used that take a 12 gauge cartridge, just find the wad and pellets lying in the grass nearby...and the neighbours cat at the top of a tree!

I haven't measured the pull weight on it, but its somewhere around the 2lb mark judging by my other rifles. It's always grouped around 1/3 to 1/2 inch at 100 yards...just much easier to extract that...

If only the shame of shooting a .270 wasn't such an issue! ;-) Most 22" barrelled .270's will fire the 140 SST at around 3050 - 3100fps with the right load...the BC of this bullet is .495 compared...

And the difference in powder charge between a .25-06 and a .280 would be about...? You surely can't be arguing that a .25-06 makes you curious, comparing it to the powder charge of a .280?!
