The point is that you can have a second razor sharp blade at hand in the bush ready to go without having to carry a second knife. Just swap them out and sharpen when you get home.

You can sharpen the blades, so they don't have to be disposable.

I use homemade quad sticks for rabbit shooting. More stable than a tripod, although tripods are useful too, better in the sitting position. How much stuff do you want to carry around the hills?

Homekill lamb neck chops tonight. Slow cooked in olive oil with salt and then reverse seared in a sizzling hot pan. Almost as good as rib chops. This is rapidly becoming my favourite way of cooking...

Another Sub-X fail today. Shot a goat mid-neck at 5 metres. It went down, then got up and ran 50 metres. Huge blood trail, but I was lucky to find it in dense bush. Might as well take up bow hunting!
